DEWA is electricity and water. Someone — you or the landlord — opens an account and pays a deposit. In a sealed glass tower with the AC at 18°C all summer, the bill is a second rent.
Ask for last summer’s bills before you sign. Older villas and poorly insulated studios hurt more. 5-gallon drinking water on a stand is cheaper than a life of small bottles.
