The UAE passenger railway adds Dubai at the end of September 2026. The station is Al Yalayis, at Jumeirah Golf Estates, with a metro connection in the plan. Abu Dhabi–Fujairah trains have been in an introductory phase since June. This is a national rail product. You do not tap a Silver NOL and hope.
For anyone who currently drives the truck traffic to Abu Dhabi, this is the first serious alternative that is not a bus or a plane. For anyone renting next to Jumeirah Golf Estates, it is a 2026 amenity, not a 2030 rumour.
Check times and fares on the official Etihad Rail site before you tell a landlord you ‘live on the train’. Metro Blue Line is a different project, aimed at 2029.
