Dubai South: the long game, not a 2026 Marina substitute
Airport city, Expo, exhibition halls, housing. Great if your job is there. A long Careem if it is not.

Dubai South is the urban bet attached to Al Maktoum airport, Expo City and the expanding exhibition centre. Search interest is real. So is the distance from DIFC. If your office is in the south, this can be the rare case where a ‘new’ map saves you two hours a day.
If your office is Downtown, Marina or Deira, South is a weekend, not a school run. Blue Line does not fix that in 2026. Etihad Rail’s Al Yalayis stop is closer to the golf estates than to a typical South apartment.
