Your employer usually books the medical and the biometrics. Take original passport. Processing is days to a couple of weeks when the file is clean; it stretches when names do not match.
Keep a photo of the ID on your phone once issued. You will show it more than you expect. Losing it is a police / ICA process, not a mall reprint.
