UAE labour law 2026 updates

  • Private sector: Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021.
  • MOHRE.
  • DIFC and ADGM are different.
  • Domestic workers have their own law (19 job titles listed 5 Sep 2026).
  • From 1 June 2026, WPS wages are due on the 1st of the next month (Resolution 340).
  • Report unpaid gratuity, extra overtime, housing and harassment on the MOHRE app or 600 590 000.
  • Normal hours: 8 a day / 48 a week.
  • Overtime usually max 2 hours.
  • Maternity 60 days (45 full pay).
