From France: 90 days to look, a company visa to stay
French passports are visa-free for a visit. Impôt and a French home do not disappear because the offer has no salary tax.
- Entry
- Visa-free visit ~90 days
- Work
- Employer-sponsored residence
- Schools
- Lycée Français exists — still fees
A French passport is on the same 90-day visa-free visit list as other EU passports, the UK and the US (Khaleej Times / ICP categories, 27 June 2026). Multiple entries, not more than 90 days in 180. You still cannot start the job on that stamp. The employer files.
No UAE salary tax is not a French exit. If you keep a home, a spouse, or enough days in France, that is a tax-residency question for someone who files both sides. CDD/CDI habits do not map onto UAE contracts: read probation, medical, and how you leave.
French-curriculum schools exist; they are not free. Confirm RTA’s live licence-exchange list before you ship the car in your head. Alcohol is licensed venues, not the terrace by default. See visa by nationality.
Practical notes, not official law. Confirm on ICP, MOHRE, RTA, KHDA and your employer before you act.
