Dubai’s calendar is mostly trade shows plus a handful of public fixtures. Arabian Travel Market fills World Trade Centre from 14–17 September 2026. GITEX moved to Expo City, 7–11 December. The Sevens still owns a late-November weekend at Al Awir. Dubai Fitness Challenge (30 minutes a day, 30 days) runs 31 October–29 November. Global Village’s official site only says ‘see you in October’ — treat mid-month as a planning date until they lock opening night.

If you work in construction, tech, food or health, the exhibition weeks are why hotels, Hessa Street and Expo taxis get worse — not because ‘the city is busy’. Public things worth planning around: National Day on 2 December, New Year’s Eve viewing zones, the Dubai Marathon (17 January 2027), tennis in February, Gulfood in March, Art Dubai in April 2027. Airshow is 2027, not 2026.

We do not scrape Visit Dubai’s consumer app or ticket resellers. The Events page re-reads official organiser calendars once a day and keeps a curated list of confirmed dates with the exact official URL. Buy there. If a date is marked TBC, it is because the organiser has not posted the night yet.

Practical notes, not official law. Confirm on ICP, MOHRE, RTA, KHDA and your employer before you act.
