Dress: malls vs beach vs government
Shoulders and knees are a polite default indoors. The beach has its own code. Offices have theirs.
Malls, metro, government counters: cover shoulders and knees and you will not think about it. Beach clubs and hotel pools are different. Friday mosque areas call for more modest clothing.
Ramadan: dress a step more conservative in public, and do not eat, drink or smoke in the street during fasting hours. Hotel restaurants still serve, discreetly.
